Star Rating?

You see on the left under/next to my name that there are 5 stars and no matter who it is only has 1 of these stars? It also says they are a 'newby' but they are an admin or have been on this website for years. Can someone explain to me what this means and what is happening to it if it is changing?

It's really not that big of a thing but it's just a fun thing that you can check in.I think it is calculated by how active you are and how many posts and ratings you have.
