Progression throughout ARK

Ark looks like a game about survival because of it's name but actually there is a lot more than that in Ark. Ark is also about building things and taming creatures of various kind. The amount and variety of items that you can craft expands as you progress through the game. For example when you start the game, in order to knockout a creature you only have your fists. Trying to knockout a creature with fists is very slow and dangerous. Then you progress into a club which is a bit stronger. Then you progress to a slingshot which allows you to knockout creatures from distance. After that you can craft the narcotics which you can later use to make tranq arrows for your bows. This is much faster and less dangerous to use. Now after you unlock the metal tier items you can craft a crossbow which is even stronger than a bow. After that you progress to a long-neck rifle which uses darts instead of arrows. Many players don't go farther than this and often beat the bosses before progressing any further.

By the end you will have a tek-bow which is faster and stronger than other weapons I listed previously. In order to tame a creature in Ark you usually have to knock it out. Knocking a creature out is obviously much different from killing them. As you progress throughout the game, you will have to tame new creatures to move around the map faster, to store your items, to collect certain kind of items, to strengthen your army or just to show off. The creatures you will need for these tasks will get harder to tame throughout the course of the game. One of the other things that will change throughout the course of the gane will be your base. One of the major points about developing your base is to industrialize your base. Industrialization means adding things like fabricator, Industrial forge, Industrial cooker, Generators, Air-Conditioners and other items that are similar to these items. Industrializing your base might seem very hard because the resources that are required to crafted these items are very hard to farm.

They are not hard to find, they are just so tedious to collect and take a long time to farm. Despite these problems, industrializing your base is completely worth it. Just for example, the industrial forge smelts metal 20 times faster than a normal forge. It consumes gasoline or it can work on electricity. It is as fast as 20 forges smelting metal at once. It is definitely much cheaper to make and maintain an industrial forge compared to 20 forges. These apply to almost everything else as well. Anything with industrial in front of it's name is worth adding to your base. Industrializing a base may seem very hard to make when you are in a pvp server, but it actually is not that hard once you have some experience in the game and also have a big tribe. Also, having an industrialized tribe will help you beat other tribes competing with you and also save a lot of space for your tribe. Inside a tribe, there needs to be a constant stream of resources, specially of resources like metal ingots. Well, that's it for today. Thank you and have a good day.
