Another Eden Review. Good JRPG game on mobile?

Small history lesson of creating the game Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space:

Chrono Trigger RPG and Chrono Cross sequel Masato Kato created the story of the mobile RPG Another Eden. It was joined by the art director of the never-released Binchotan game, Takahito Ex. And composer Yasunori Mitsuda (Xenogears, Xenosaga, Xenoblade) wrote the title theme and a number of songs and melodies along with Shunsuke Tsuchiya, composer of Luminous Arc 2.

In a nutshell about the storyline:

The main character, Aldo, tries to save his sister Fin, who has fallen into the hands of the demon king. He tries to awaken her hidden abilities in order to destroy humanity. The rescue mission ends in failure, and Aldo is carried away 800 years into the future. The story unfolds at different times and in different places, and the main goal of the hero and his group is to save the lost future.

The game is single-player, but an internet connection is required to save and receive lottery cards with characters.

It is available for free on iOS and Android.

Advantages:

- Excellent visual accompaniment.
- Lots of content. If you are worried that the game will seem too short to you, then you are deeply mistaken, it is quite capable of giving you a lot of time to complete!
- Quite interesting quests. Honestly, I didn't even expect something like this, I thought it would be worse and more of the same type.
- Many characters. Can you collect them all?
- Various mobs and bosses.

Disadvantages:
- Having studied the reviews of the community as well, I noticed that many people are faced with various errors in the game, because of which it is impossible to play. Therefore, in an important minus, I note that the game may not be suitable for your device either.
- There are no splash screens before strikes. An uncritical minus, but according to an old memory, I expected epic and pretentious screensavers, as in classic JRPGs.
- Impossibility of skipping cutscenes and dialogues. At first glance, a trifle, but still it is not interesting for about a minute how the character just walks, nothing happens there, he just walks.. And at times it can take up to 10 minutes for dialogues, not a very pleasant nuance, especially for people interested in lore.
- Pretentious dialogues straight from the anime. As for me, it looks too absurd.
- Is at least one joke from the lips of the characters? - No.
- Quite a strange combat system. Maybe I'm the spoiled one, but as far as I know, this is an uncharacteristic type, as for a JRPG game, which it is. You choose skills simultaneously for all characters before the game, and not universally for each before his move, as in other games of this genre.
Did you decide not to take the treatment, and the hero was inflicted a lot of damage, and by the next turn, it is already useless to heal? -Your problems.
- Random encounters. Hello from old games, with these crazy mechanics.
- Lack of online features.

Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space is really worthy successor to old JRPG games like ChronoTrigger.
In the beginning, I almost abandoned the game because of the first battles, they were really bad. So just wait for a little and after that, you can play wonderful product. Everything becomes at the best level: cooler, more beautiful, and more interesting!

In conclusion, I want to say that the game is great! Old school :) Square Enix did not disappoint. Almost all the advantages were in the direction of additional elements, but the main aspects of the game are simply gorgeous. I advise you to familiarize yourself, and if you are also a fan of this genre, then the game is simply a must for you!
