In Plain Sight 2 - A Guide to Default-to-Epic Thieves

In Plain Sight 2 is a Roblox game about stealing while also blending in with others around you, as the name might imply. You can play as a thief who steals objects and trade them for money, or play as a camera to stop them. Each thief has a different gameplay aspect about them, and it would be important to know how to play as or against every thief. For starters, it would be important to get to know how to play against the basic thieves.

The default thieves, those being Mr. Black, Mr. White, Brownie, Ms. Purple, and Pinky, are able to drop smoke-bombs that obscure the vision of the camera. You'll have these thieves when you first play the game, and you should know that while cameras can't see through it, they can still shoot through it, so you should use the smoke-bomb to pass by a camera, not stay in it. That said, as a camera, your best bet would be to fire into the smoke, and you can press E to enable your explosive shots as well. If you have the Annihilator or Incinerator camera, you can use their abilities to take out any thieves that may be within it. Be aware that there are many other thieves that share the smoke-bomb ability while having another passive ability such as higher jumps or running faster.

Doc is able to recover all of his health. This can help him recover from situations where he would take a lot of damage without dying. It is recommended to use this as soon as your HP goes below 4. As a camera, you should try to shoot him as much as you can because of his ability.

Limps can create a new NPC which can cause confusion, especially when he spawns an NPC in a location where NPCs normally can't spawn. A good way to counter Limps is by memorizing where he spawns his NPCs to avoid confusion. There is a camera, however, designed to play against him, and that is the Assassin camera, which can remove an NPC of its choice.

Shelly, Scooter, and Speedy can temporarily make himself invincible but also very slow. As the thief, the ability can be useful for stealing objects that are risky to steal, such as the bank's gold or the mall's gemstones. As a camera, you should simply ignore the thief and hunt down another one. If Speedy is the only thief left, try to follow his movement until his ability is finished.

Aloha can summon a dance party which can distract cameras. This is useful against inexperienced cameras as they will have no idea what is happening. An experienced camera will not fall for it, because none of the dancers is Aloha himself. As a camera, you should know that nobody in the dance party is Aloha. Pablo is another thief that can distract cameras, but likewise, only inexperienced camera players will fall for it.

Doug can bury himself underground to make him invisible and invulnerable, but he cannot move while doing so. This is also useful for a risky situation where you'd have to defend yourself against cameras. You can actually hide for as long as you want, and the camera might try to find another thief. As a camera, take note of where Doug hides. You can "fake-out" by swapping to another location and immediately switch back, baiting Doug out of his hiding.

E.O.D has the ability to block explosive damage. He is most useful against the Cannon and Annihilator cameras, as both of their abilities are explosives. The simple strategy against E.O.D when you're a camera is to just not use explosive shots.

Murphy can disguise as an object and blend in with the map. Be aware that sometimes Murphy will turn into an object that never appears in the map. In fact, he cannot blend in at all in the Museum map. Cameras should take note of what objects weren't already positioned. It is best to memorize what a desk looked like, and remember if it had a chair or not.

Khadgar has a 1/3 chance to not take damage, and this applies to all damage sources. For some people, this can be treated as a different way of having more health, and that's exactly how he should be treated. Khadgar should be used in situations where he can last longer than a normal thief, and cameras should fire a lot at him. However, his HP is based on luck, not skill, so keep that in mind.

Formula Zero can temporarily speed himself up at a high speed. This makes for an excellent getaway option, as it can make it hard for cameras to hit you. Use it when a camera enters your room and you're caught doing something. Be aware that you'll keep moving and you can't stop. As a camera, try to predict where Formula Zero goes, and wait until he's stopped, then fire away.

Shadow can teleport anywhere on the map, which makes it another getaway. However, this is another ability based on luck, as you can end up anywhere and it's not based on your favor. You could even end up at the same location, or in front of the camera. As a camera though, if Shadow does get away and you don't see him in your room, you should check every room possible.

Quartz has a similar teleportation ability, but instead of teleporting anywhere around the map, she teleports to where she was 8 seconds ago. This allows her to perform a risky action and teleport to safety when needed. As a camera, try to remember where she came from if she disappears. Check the room that she came out of, and zap any suspicious-looking Quartz you see.

Rose can swap positions with thieves. This is considered a "troll" thief, which is made to make other thieves mad. However, Rose isn't used often because it's not really that useful of an ability. This is yet another getaway option, but it's only one that'll turn thieves against you. As a camera, you don't have to worry because you'll want to be zapping thieves anyways.
