THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 2 ON THE BASE GAME ,DLC AND MODS
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is stuffed with all your favourite characters and painted with a lovely anime art style, but that’s all it has going for it. The plot of resolving time anomalies was conceptually fascinating the first time around, but it seems like the creative well dried up fairly quickly as the developers just reused the exact same mischievous two antagonists to go about altering events once more. Sure, there are differences as to which scenes have been changed, but you can only replay the same old sequences so many times. It wouldn’t be so bad if the core mission structure for both the campaign and Parallel Quests weren’t so repetitive, as it usually involves taking down a set number of enemies or collecting items such as Dragon Balls. That tied with incredibly long load times into the hub area (at least on the console) creates nothing but a disheartening experience. With that said, the new Expert Missions mode is a fantastic addition to the formula, aiding the decently entertaining cooperative scenarios. At the end of the day, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is, at best, a minimal improvement over its predecessor while sharing a lot of the same issues, but there’s just something so endearing about how it all came together.
These are some good mods for the game.
Some fans want their games to reflect the world of Dragon Ball to the letter. Others just want to live their insane dreams out. This is the mod pack for them.
This mod pack is for fans of Dragon Ball AF -- the fanfiction "sequel" to Dragon Ball GT. If you want to play Super Saiyan 5 or Ruby Frieza, this is the form for you. It adds on some insane power-ups for fans who just want to cut loose and go wild with Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. And, at the end of the day, what good is a game if you can't have a little extra fun with it?
One problem with Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is that the English audio tends to switch with certain characters to Japanese audio. This glitch is patched up with this important mod.
The EnglishDub Fix Mod fixes a bug in the game for players in search of a complete experience. It patches up a core, persistent problem with the English version of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 that many players no doubt will find essential to maintaining immersion.
The DLC story covers the U6 vs U7 arc (Super Pack 2), the Goku Black arc (Super Pack 4), and a more original story listed as Infinite History that involves some branching stories and a new character named Fu (Extra Pack 2).
Of these, Infinite History is probably the best story in my opinion just because it has more original content. None of the story missions are difficult or anything, so there isn't much in the way of increased difficulty there. They'll all be about the same difficulty as the later portions of the story.
The DLCs also add new PQs (and new skills, Super Souls, and costumes from these PQs). This goes for the DLC packs that don't add story missions too. The DLC PQs can get more challenging, especially the Extra Pack 2, 3, and 4 PQs. This difficulty usually comes from having to fight large numbers of powerful enemies within the 15-minute time limit in PQs, but there are several PQs (especially in Extra Pack 4) that add "babysitting" PQs where you have to keep an AI ally alive. These babysitting missions are probably the most annoying challenges just because the AI enemies will basically always target the AI ally you're supposed to keep alive and they will often deal heavy damage. These could be considered "difficult", but the difficulty will often feel a bit inflated because of the mechanics.
