Ikariam the web-based game review

Ikariam is a web-based strategy game which is consisted of a world full of islands.Each island have more than 5-6 cities in it and every player own one of those cities.To develop your city you build up embassy,academy,palace and every other thing you can imagine to have in a real country.
To build these buildings you will need some woods more than anything so that you will have to work your woodman in woodman camp which theres only one in the island.Every player send their woodman to work in that woodman camp so they can get some woods.But instead of making buildings with those woods,players can donate the woods to the woodsman camp so the woodman camp can level up,which means you can work more woodsman in the woodman camp and get more woods.Woodsman camp is the on that you see below in the map name "Orman",and the other buildings are the cities of other players.

Besides the woodsman camp we have a temple in the island (named as "Tapınak" in the map).In every island there is only on temple and it has it's own features.You have to donate some golds to the temple so you can use it's features,such as ;you pay less for the ships or your ships have better defence skills,etc.
Each island has it's own luxurious source,which can be either crystal,sulfur,grapes or marble.Every island has one of those luxurious source so you will have to contact other players in other islands so you can get other luxurious sources which will be needed in the future to develop your city because just wood will not be enough to do it.To have the other luxurious sources you can either contact other players and trade your sources with them or you can buy their sources from the trade center.

Everything is fine but what about the city defence and the income?Firstly you start with building a town hall (named Belediye Binası in the screenshot above).When you level up your town hall the amount of citizens living in your city increases,which means it gets easier to find more workers.When citizens increase,your income increases as well,but when you get more workers city income decreases.So you will have to make it balanced.After the town hall,you will have to build an academy,which will help you make researches about various stuff such as making a research about luxurious sources so you can get those sources or making a research about infantry so you can have different types of infantry and become stronger.But before having those different and strong infantries you will first have to build barracks.
So this game needs some patience of course,like every other game of it's kind.But it's fun and entertaining and it's a good game to be socializing with other players and using your own leadership skills to be the best.I hope you enjoy this review and good luck becoming the strongest in the game!
